Default My newest winter project

If anyone remembers, I started a couple threads throughout the summer about projects I plan on working on this winter. Well, winter is just around the corner and I'm getting everything rounded up to hibernate in the garage and I realized I've got quite a bit to do!

Here they are...

The frame & motor sitting up front is about to be a hardtail Knucklehead themed Sportster.

From right to left,

My wife's rat rod Sportster. 2004 XL883C. Doing this one her way and she's been doing alot of the work.

Freebie Suzuki VL with a ton of random Harley parts.

Bar hopper/cafe-ish bobber.

75 Shovelehead. (Troublehead)

And my newest project is the Detroit Bros drop seat. This one is butt ugly and that's why I love it. It's been a blast so far.

I'm going to try my hand at shortening the fork tubes. This front end came from an FL chopper from way back. I know they can be shortened but I still need to learn how.

The wheels are stock Sportster rear wheels. Both from my wife's bikes. She does not like the solid rear wheels on hers.

The tank is from an Indian (Sprint I believe).

Going to be fun. I'll be making some one off parts for this one.

Now I just need to stay motivated!

I like the 75' Shovel best. That looks like a fun one.

Yeah well... I have a shed with a Sportster and a scooter in it, so let's not act like you're doing better than me.

mreed;

I like all your bikes but I especially like your 390 AMC Rebel and your mid 50's sedan delivery. Is that a chevy?

Right on! Close, very close but my AMC is a Rambler (but you were right about the 390!) The Rebel (The Machine) is the car they built to follow up the SC/Rambler I have (still built by Hurst Racing).

And that sedan is actually an old ambulance. 56 Chevy Panel Truck/57 front end/supercharged 427 big block/200 shot of nitrous. The truck is a few feet taller than the sedan.

Good call though!

I love the old Indian tank. You cant beat those old vintage small cc tanks! Speaking of Detroit Bros., I got a Rapido tank that I'm thinking about cleaning up this winter and using. Looks like you'll stay plenty busy this winter.

I've got a couple of guns I've gotta refinish this winter.
Also got some checkering I gotta get done on some stocks and grips.
I'm gonna be swamped also!
All kidding aside, I wish I lived closer to you so I could come over and watch/learn!
Good luck with your projects and post pics along the way for all of us to drool over.
