So reading this thread..... what would I be letting myself in for....?
This is the land of Harley, welcome. It's has always seemed to me that Harley guys get all hung up on "girl's bikes", who's a biker or not, posers, what's a real "custom" and junk like that.

+2. I spent all day yesterday on a group ride, cold as h3ll but nobody complained about the temp, or the Yamahas, or the Sporties, or the baggers, or anything else in the group because we were riding, and that's why we do it. If I ever reach the point where I don't stop to help a fellow rider because of the make or model bike he's on, I will torch my ride and take up fast-walking.

Who cares - just go ride.
LOL exactly what i was thinking. i dont care how long you been riding
as that has nothing to do with riding or what people do to THEIR bikes.
in the grand scheme of things it doesnt really matter as again, its THEIR BIKE,so if they want pretty then let them have it.

personally i have been riding since 1980 and when i say riding i mean riding, some people think riding is 1000 miles per year and while i'm far from an iron butt i average 5k+ per year from late April to early October before the cold starts kicking in, i would ride all year round but i hate that bundled up feeling as i feel detached from my bike.

so dont let what other people do to their bikes get to you just enjoy the ride.

ChopCult is one of my favorite sites. Some of the unmoderated threads are gut-busting funny.
