I'm not 100% positive, but I believe what you did was put on the H-D SE slipons without paying extra for the fancy "Screaming Eagle" logo. NICE! I'm almost certain that I've heard that SE slipons are made by CS. Can anybody confirm that?
I've heard the same thing, but also unable to confirm. However, I was at one of the local stealers yesterday, and a guy rode in on a 883 like mine with Screaming Eagle slips ons. His pipes weren't as loud as mine, so I'm not totally sure they are the same. Actually, what I have hear was the CS made the SE pipes, maybe not the exact same pipes.

As far as the warranty and dealer hassles. I haven't had any problems there.

It took me a bit longer than 30 minutes to install mine. I had trouble getting the factory slip ons to slip off. But after plenty of WD-40 and some determination, I was able to get er done.

SportyPig,

I believe CS use to make Screamin Eagle Pipes but no longer. I do like the sound of CS beter though.

Well, I've been hanging around this forum since I picked up my '06 883C a couple of weeks ago so I geuss it's time to jump in...

Just finished putting the CS slip-ons on her tonight and DAMN DOES IT SOUND GOOD!! I'm trying to be patient waiting out the rain so I can test ride her. Had the same experience as SportyPig getting the old mufflers off and used up a good bit of WD40 before they let loose and put me on my butt.

This is my first bike in 20 years and my first Harley and I can't thank everyone on this forum enough - I've learned more here in the past couple of weeks about my 883 than I ever thought I would - what a great place.

You guys that are having difficulty getting the stock pipes off, take note...They put them on that way for a reason. When you put your new slip ons on, check the bolts at every opportunity. There's a lot of flex at the joint where they connect, and the heating/cooling involved doesn't help. Re-tighten the bolts after each ride for a while until you can tell that they are staying tight.
