Default Fork Brace

Hey So I wanted to delete my front fender and I see that RSD has a front fork brace ... Do you need to put one on to maintain the front forks strength integrity ? Or will it be just fine without anything ?

Like always thanks for the advice

The fork brace will help to steady the front end, if you go the RSD route, bring lots of $. The harder you push your bike the more you appreciate the extra stiffness.

Bikergarage 101 has those on sale occasionally...they are a clearing house for overstocked and closeouts

Fork braces work great. But what RSD sells and calls a fork brace, a U shaped piece of metal, is anything but a real fork brace. Take a look at the HD or Superbrace units and compare their design to the RSD. It doesn't take an engineering degree to see the difference.

On the other hand, if cosmetic appearance is what you're after, then go with the RSD.

Just my 2˘

+1 for the Superbrace, but in all honesty, removing your fender should not require a brace as the fender does little bracing to begin with...but its always nice to have that little extra firmness

Coming from someone who has the RSD brace, i agree with everyone on here. Go with the superbrace if you want performance...rsd if you want cosmetic. I got mine for looks.
