I think people who ride Vespas are just as good as
those who ride BT's. I've got a friend who owns a customized BT, which has made
some people think he's a real tough guy. He's own answer to this has been like:
"No way, I'm probably more chicken than the average". That's some good
self-esteem, IMO..
If someone wants to laugh at my Sporty, then go ahead. I don't care because
it's only a bike without a life of its own, whose only purpose is to fulfill my need to feel some freedom every now and then.
(Of course, the tinkering also provides some meaningful and "rewarding" occupation)
