i have a 99 sportster and change jet in bike started it up ran for about five mins turn choke off gave it throttle sounded funny so shut it off. felt front cylinders was hot back one was warm pulled out spark plug was dirty so i change both out went to go start turns over but will not start have spark from wires.
Did you try giving it a couple squirts of gas with the throttle? Did you try putting the choke on again? Or if you did that, is it flooded? Pull plugs and check for fuel in cyls.
yeah i try both throttle and choke just turns over strong. but i think its flooded cause i have spark and i took spark plugs back off and smell strong gas
It's not flooded if the spark plugs are not hosed with gas, so crank the gas to it and if it does become flooded, crank the throttle wide open and keep crankin the starter.

"sounded funny" like what? did one of the jets come loose? is the carb mounted properly? Did you make any other adjustments to the carb prior to starting?
i took it a part and looked at it jets loooked fine. if the carb is loose an any way from the motor will that make it not start at all. i made no adjustments before this it just ran fine a week ago.
