Ordered 16" cable kit. The kit came with 12" cables. Did not know it till I started to put the bike back together. Used the wire extensions and they were the right length, but very stiff. Used very cheap wire and pins. Tried to get new cables and they want to charge me till I send their screwed up cables back. Customer service is Crap, called them two weeks and they did not do **** till I called back today. Crappy stuff, crappy customer service! You would be better off buying better stuff instead of the cheap crap in their kits.
I'm sorry your experience was not as great as was mine. I ordered the 16" kit, found everything to be in order, and of high quality. Parts went on as designed, and while I did find the electrical pins impossible to extract from the existing plugs, that wasn't Burly's fault, and wound up soldering in the high quality wire extensions provided. I didn't have to call customer service, but I did send them emails, and a pic, and almost immediately my pic went up on the front of their website (just checked and in fact it is still there), and they sent me a free T shirt within a day or so.
I'm not discounting your lousy experience, but offering a contrasting one.
One oh **** wipes out 1,000 atta boys,,,why ?
Cause that one Oh **** will be told/vented to 1,000 others
while the 1,000 atta boys quietly go unnoticed.
If you think stiff steel wire compared to pliable copper wire is high quality, then you don't know jack about wire.
The wire in my kit was by no means made of steel.
Additionally, I'm surprised at your response to my post after I took care to not criticize your experience or opinion. I'm sure that you are of higher intellect and more respectful than your reply indicates.
