I'm with everyone else who is sick of hearing this "girls bike" talk. Unless it's pink and has little baskets and bows, it ain't a girls bike. I haven't had anyone call my bike a girls bike and I think this is a topic that is more talked about in this forum than in everyday out and about life. I think as Sportster owners, we need to get this girls bike chip off our shoulder and enjoy the ride that we have. We're making ourselves look insecure and like asses to all the other Harley bikers out there. We call our bikes "Girls Bikes" more than they do.....
That about says it all. Time to take the skirts off ladies.
This humors me. I keep telling my father in law that I want to buy a sportster and he says why? that is a girls bike. I just laugh and keep dreaming. He to does not own a bike.
I once (twenty five years ago) had a job where I was expected to wear a suit. Then one day I went down with oil in a turn and ripped up my $300 suit. Got oil and some blood on it too.
Wore it to work anyway. Does this make me a suit?
One fellow made fun of my oily, torn and bloody suit. A few days later I wired up his desk so that when he opened his desk drawer a 120db horn under his desk went off. Was out in the field, yet I heard he leaned back in his chair, set it off, flew over backwards and knocked his drawing table and everything over. No blood though - Pity. [sm=badbadbad.gif]
I don't worry about what people say about my 1200Low....my other bike is a 2005 Genuine Stella scooter.....I guarantee that my sportster is way faster than my Stella. lol
I flew every helicopter in the US inventory in the late sixties and early seventies during my frequent vacations in Southeast Asia, including some interesting side trips into Laos and Cambodia just for sXXts and giggles, every thing from AH-1 Cobras to HH-3E Jolly Greens. Every one of these aircraft did something exceptionally well, and there is an analogy between them and HDâs lineup of bikes. The AH-1 (Sportster) was fast and agile, great for getting in fast and raising a little hell then making a quick exit to rearm and refuel. The HH-3E (Bagger) was a big powerful rescue platform that you could fly all day with lots of range and survivability. Back then being 21 and bullet proof I always gravitated to the AH-1 side of the equation, being 58 now I still enjoy having a little edge on my knife, thus the Sportster. Anyway, I have always enjoyed having something between my legs that everyone envied and few had the guts to use, be it aircraft, motorcycle or appendage. Just my contribution to the dick-measuring contest. By the way I still have a fetish for Cobras. I just fly them a little lower to the ground now.
All my friends have BTwins and all they have to say are good things, What i would like to see is a big twin able to pull the front end off the ground 3 feeet and land it, my sporty will do it with ease and i think it likes it. Now keep in mind this is only done in front of the house messin around. i dont race the streets doin it.

I am neither. The only negative comment I have ever heard was from some hater cause he didn't have one (of anything), hehehehe; then says he's gonna get him a rice burner or a victory. My advice to him... just get a bike, ride and stop hatin'.
On the other hand, what I do hear are props, I had a pertner say when I hit the throttle the back end drops, the front pops
it looks like I'm on a rocket to the moon...Hi Ho Silver, baby!!!
