My buddy wants to change his turn signals from huge stock lights to the smaller bullet ones.
Problem is the new lights have 3 wires whereas the old ones only had 2. We looked at the service manual, but cant figure out how to make it work.
The 3 wires on the new light I understand, Red 12V constant, Black Ground, and Black/white stripe is for turn signal if I am correct.
We already changed the back lights and got them to work. the old light had 1 wire and the new ones had 3. We connected the red for the turn signal and had to ground it with the black and it worked fine.
Can some one please give me some advise.
Here is a picture of the wires. I do not have a scanner to get the wiring diagram uploaded from the service manual.

The new lights you have contain a dual filiment bulb. All you need to do is hook the black wire to ground and one of the other two to the wire from the bike. Use the wire that lights the brighter filiment in the bulb and tape off the other one or hook it to your running light circuit.
