Most people in my area (myself included) just hang helmet, gloves, etc on the handle bars, or set the helmet on the seat. At first I was a bit concerned about it, but I guess most would be thieves figure they'd better not mess with a Harley. Plus there is that Helmet sticker on there "If you value your life as much as I do this Motorcycle, don't F$$k with it"

This does not work on Sporty's 04 and later! Tried it on my 05 and couldn't find any place on the frame that it would fit on! If you have bad supports this will work as long as the dia is 1 1/4 or less! I usually hang mine in the mirror or back rest if it on!

I bought the lock and found that it wouldn't fit anywhere on my bike. I went out and bought a combo padlock that has a wide hasp and use that to lock my two full face hemets to my bike. I have 2 X $200 helmets and also installed speakers, etc. in them, so I always get a little antsy about them being stolen. Now that I put a luggage rack on, maybe I'll see if the lock will fit on that or the sissy bar. Good idea.
