If you like to ride don't do a kit. It looks retarded and it makes the front end feel so heavy.
My friend did the 9 degree bolt on and a 200 rear tire kit and he is now selling the bike because he does not like the ride. It Fs with the steering.
If you want a chopper chop the frame. You can't bolt on chopper!

Nice bike. Did you have to lenghten the top tube at all? How much did you put in the down tubes?

Put 4" in the down tubes. The top tube just got a small angled piece under the seat to make it match the down tubes, but it was not stretched.

If I had to do it over again, I'd do 6" in the downtubes and 2" in the top for a slight stretch.

Oh yea, and I had it done by a professional fab shop and it cost about the same as those "chopper kits" that were posted. So, it cost the same, and it looks much better.

You might want to look for a fab shop in your area and discuss having them chop the frame. Or maybe even buy a frame. Either way, it ain't exactly cheap.
That is a bad *** looing ride. i want in on my 2005C

I went with some 5 degree cups on my 01 and stock tubes, takes alittle work to get it to clear the tank and so on. They are not just a bolt on and go kit, now they have 7 degrees ones and may just give them a try too and at less than 200 bucks it's not to bad.

Don't know if they make any for the newer frame necks that narrow down like an hourglass ??

I'm also running a 80/90 front tire and a 160 tire on the rear and that about the biggest I can go on a solid mount Sportster stock swingarm. The newer bikes have a wider swingarm so it's easy to go with a bigger rear wheel.

See that look nice to me, but much more rack on a sporty and they look crappy IMO.
