Cool engine case LEAKING OIL

2007 NIGHTSTER
5K MILES
Just had a 5k service then 800 miles later I had a tran primary and oil change - synthetic.

Now when I park the bike I get a few spots of oil. At first I thought is was excess after the change and the mech just missed a few spots; however, there is a clear silicone bead hanging down from the bottom of the crankcase that I noticed while wiping everything down.

We have had over 100 degree temps and I ride 80-85 on the highway about 40 miles one way. Is it the heat possibly, or have the excellent mechanics missed something?

I never had any issues except after the last primary and oil change - all synthetic btw I started to see some fluids which I think are oild but its real dirty already so possible tran fluid?

I am looking for possible solutions to this issue but I will take any ideas under consideration. I am not a wrencher so immediately I get pissed off and want to go back to the mech and say wtf!!! Its been probably 100 miles since the fluids were changed, and I am going back to see not only the mech but the HD dealership is offering a free tech inspection so I will see what from the bike shop where it was repaired and the HD techs say.....probably recommend a new bike ; ) The leak seems to occur near the bottom of the engine case but I cant pin it down yet.

My worry is that the hight temperatures( man its friggin hot )and the high rpms have created an issue that will really ding the wallet....not cool.

Oh PS I went to the Harley dealership for my 5k maint and the dumbass mechanic put the wrong gasket in the inspection cover which caused oil to leak everywhere. I will not actually let them work on my bike ever again, but they can inspect it.
Thanks

Pics of the leaking location would be helpful. The bottom of the crankcase is a rather large area.

Probably a leaking primary drain plug.
There shouldn't be any silicone on the bottom of the primary, so that makes me wonder if they stripped the drain plug and tried to use silicone to fix it.

Get down on your hands and knees and clean off the bottom of the primary, so you can see where it's leaking from. It's not rocket science.

+1 That's kinda what I was thinking. When I got my bike it was dripping from the tranny plug and it just needed a new O-ring.

Maybe by silicone he is talking about the sealant that holds the two halves of the case together?
