Engine Light Help
Hello everyone! I have a question about my engine light.
I have a 2008 sportster XL1200C. It has Vance and Hines Short Shots with a stage 1 performance kit.... screaming eagle (heavy breather?), and a fuel map pack. I am not sure what brand the fuel map is. When I'v looked at it there wasn't even a mfg name on it. The bike has 8600 miles and the engine oil was just changed about 500 miles ago. I still need to do my tranny oil. (Idk if that means anything)
Now to my question. When I turn my key to IGNITION, I then flip the RUN/OFF switch to RUN. I wait for the ENGINE LIGHT to turn off before I start the motorcycle. But this is what has been going on lately (less than a week). When the ENGINE LIGHT turns off for the first time it will turn back on again about 5 seconds after the first one comes on. The second light lasts just as long as the first one. After I start the bike the light does not come back on until I have to start it up again.
So pretty much I have two engine lights to wait through before I start my bike.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
