I just changed my engine oil and transmission oil and after doing that the check engine light hasn't come on again. It was coming on and off prior to that. Does it come on like that when it's time to change the oil or is there something else that could be wrong?

Check engine light has nothing to do with fluid change, are you sure you didn't hit the kill switch when ignition is on? When key on, the engine light should come on for a few seconds then go off.

No I wasn't talking about when you turn it to run and the engine light comes on while pressurizing the fuel or whatever it's doing.
I was talking about it coming on and off intermitently while riding.

That's interesting....
I'd ride it for a few days and see if the check engine light starts doing the same, or if it stays off like it should.
If it didn't come back on again (or I guess even if it did) I'd be curious and have the 'codes' retrieved just to see what they say.
