Default Tins interchangeable?

Anyone know if a 97 model 1200 gas tank and fenders will interchange with an 06 883 Sportster? The reason i ask is that my wife's bike is for sale and a lady has 97 tins and wants to put them on it.

Nope, the Sporty was redesigned from the frame up in 2004.

the interchange on the gas tank is from 95-03. Petcock is on left side.
