but do you need that black back plate? or can you just bolt the filter on with a new gasket?
I had trouble figuring then breather mount just looking at pictures & text, so I took it apart. A five minute job, but you want to have some locktite on hand.
Here are some measurements I took, from the inside out:
Throttle body inlet is 1.75" = 2.40 SqIn
stock filter is 1" x 24" = 24.00 SqIn (the filter area only)
From what I can tell, the two bigger bolts and the 3 smaller bolts help hold the carb in place. You would need something to mount the filter to the carb. Using the back plate is the easiest to do, especially when you're limited in tools.
