My fender has the same polished marks from the seat.
I have a springer seat on the way, I will let you know if I get rid of them. BTW there is a 48 seat for sale here in the sportster parts for sale section...great price.
I agree with the V & H being all to popular. I bought my bike and pipes prior to being a member of this and other forums and I am a little disappointed to see ever bike basically having the exact same pipes as me or the next guy.
That being said sold my V & H and am waiting for some new pipes haha
I just know this and it's not a Sportster but buddy and I put a set of V&H headpipes and Rinehart tailpipes on his 2010 Street Glide 2 weeks ago. He says it's a totally new bike with much more power and better throttle response. No other mods were made other than the pipes.
dan, holycrap ... your bike is mint! i'm literally expecting my 2012 to come in any day now. it's my first bike and i've been anxious for weeks about it. i'm getting the staggered short shots put on along with a drag bar as soon as she comes in. congrats on the ride ... glad to hear such glowing praise for the iron. sweet machine!
Hey nice looking iron, but yea def do your research before you shell out cash ! ! most people on here will agree buy your bike, keep it stock, ride it for awhile than figure out what you want to do to it. Nothing worse than buying stuff for your bke only to take it off and replace it shortly after !
