Im about to buy a springer seat from Rich Phillips and was wondering what you guys use as a mounting kit? Im not trying to weld anything, such as pillions and I realize Rich sells a mounting kit that also relocates your ECM but I am not trying to fork out 250 just for the mount. Im just curious as to what brand or company yall are using to mount your seats.
Also, where are you guys relocating your ECM? Im planning on chopping and bobbing the fender whenever I install my spring seat.
got my ecm in the batt. box. bought a 10$ seat hinge off egay and modded it to fit the spacing needed for the sporty rear tank mount. kept the shox and mounted the seat rigid with some rubber bushings on the back instead of springs (jap style).
I got a mount plate and seat. Didn't use springs though because if you have shocks and springs I think it looks like too much goin on there. I'm pretty sure Debrix and V-Twin sell the mount plates.
