First off, what an amazing bike!! You have inspired me to take the plunge on many things. I look at that front end and then look at my bike and think man that looks really narrow and silly. Anyway, I have been torn between a springer style seat like yours without springs and a LE pera bare bones. I really like the way you're turned out and was wondering what your opinion of the seat is comfort wise. It looks amazing but how is it after a few hours?
Thanks man. I find the seat comfortable, but then, comfort is a very subjective personal opinion so ymmv.
I find the Mother Roads Custom seat comfortable, even on longer rides. I usually only ride for 2-3 hours at a time and my butt never gets sore. Two summers ago I did 300 miles in 7 hours, with a few breaks and a stop for lunch and even then the seat was great. You can find the thread about that ride here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...nightster.html
It's not a touring seat by any means. But that's the way I like it.
Yeah I am the same way. I don't need a touring seat just something that looks good and feals decent. I am sure most anything is better the stock as it feels like the frame digs into my legs.
Wow I got tot the end in one day, 122 pages and man all I can do is bow down to what you have achieved.
You have something that is not only unique but looks damn good too.
Only found this thread as I was looking for ways of moving my speedo.
Hey man I've told you one and I'll tell you again, that is one impressive bike. I had a few questions for you about the Wide Glide triple tree conversion. Is there a better spot to ask? Facebook? Text? Or does on here work?
Arrived here via the link you put on your "300 miles on the zombie nightster". Its a great read and congratulations to your determination to see it through without rushing it.
If i win the lottery, it'll be your son-in-law that gets the commission for my dream bike build. Stunning fabrication skills and that attention to the samllest details that sets the great bike builders apart. Surprised he hasn't on Discovery channels Biker build off!

I would like to hear the answers to those questions as well.
I'm thinking of a mid or wide glide conversion using FatBob forks.
Sorry for the slow response. Apostoleris what questions do you have? The front end conversion is detailed back somewhere in this thread but if you have other questions, ask away.
