Always good to have folks on the team that are extremely talented and capable.

What about a set of bars that is a cross between a narrow drag on rolled risers and clip ons. I just picture a downward angle to them like clip ons, but up a bit higher.

I picture something like where the bars in the pic are set, but probably not adjustable (unless you want to make it convertible):

Did some wiring work this afternoon. We got things more organized, put the rear fender, battery in place and the oil tank. These went in and out several times so we could try to figure out placement of the ECM, fuse blocks and wire runs.

We ran into an issue with mounting the fuse blocks. The stock location is attached to the big fugly plastic bracket that sits below the seat and attaches to the front of the large downtube in front of the battery box. You can see it in the above picture. Well, I'm not gonna use that thing but we needed a place to afix the fuse blocks. The plastic piece also hooks to the battery box, so I cut the part off that attaches to the battery box and contains the mounting points for the fuse blocks and chucked the rest. I'll use some epoxy to make sure it stays in place and the fuse blocks will be positioned in the stock location. It should work well.

We also got rid of a few wires that we didn't need. We need to make the wire bundle going through frame as small as possible. Gonna ditch the kill switch so we got rid of those wires. Used the diagrams I drew when I took them apart and a voltmeter to make sure we got the right ones.

We pretty much know now where everything has to go. We need to purchase some extra wire to extend some of the wire runs and more shrink wrap for the whole sheebang. It's far from done and there are still a lot of questions, but we're getting closer.

Oh man, looks like the wiring took a giant puke out of there. lol

It's gonna be awesome when you get it all tucked away, but man, for the average idiot like myself that looks like a huge undertaking.

Even the wire tuck I want to do gives me a headache, and that's pretty basic!

Ya, uhhh, thanks for all the support guys.

This is my biggest nightmare of the whole thing, and that's saying a lot considering all the crap on this build that is completely over my head. But electrical stuff beyond a simple household circuit scrares the bejezuz outta me to no end. People whip out voltmeters and I immediately look for the nearest available exit. But I'm told this is all no problem, that it will be done in no time and to stop worrying. Ohhhkaaayyy...

This is actually the only part I wouldnt be intimidated by. Im going to have to do something similar because my new tank cant be mounted in the stock position without the wires and connectors being under the backbone. Not being intimidated doesnt mean I wont make mistakes, Ill watch your progress, make sure you point out all your mistakes so I dont have to make them
