Well, I'll definitely use that on my NEXT makeover. That bon...body filler was a b-i-t-c-h to work with.

Really? That's actually the brand I used on my peanut when I swapped out the 4.5 gal. I fixed a softball sized dent in my tank (sig pic) in no time.

It helps if you have the skill, blocks and correct paper though.

That's a good finishing putty. However, it does like to run and is very viscous compared to a heavy mud. I only use that on final mud work or to fill in pinholes. None the less, that's a fine product.

Well, "skill" would be the operative word there, and I don't have much. However, I didn't have any problem spreading and smoothing it. I wasted about half a can and at least an hour trying to get the right amount of hardener. I'd get halfway into spreading/smoothing and it would freeze up like a rock. I had to scrape it off and start over. Twice. Once I got the right amount of hardener it went on fairly easy. And after it set up I got it sanded out fine. There was a pretty significant depression between the new filler hole and the new speedo hole...there's probably about an eighth inch of bon..mud around the left/front side of the speedo hole tapering to the filler hole. It actually turned out pretty flat and smooth, plus the build up around the edge of both holes. I'm pleased with how it turned out, but it wasn't easy getting there.

For future reference.... always mix as little as possible. The higher the temp, the faster it will harden and vice versa.

I was fixing a Dodge at the shop a year ago, and for the first time ever, I didn't add enough hardener and the mud never dried. I had to remove it and redo. Total PITA. I always add too much hardener and try to work fast.

P.S. Miller Light and whiskey is delicious tonight. Cheers, everyone!
