That might have been the wheeled model?

The one I ordered retails for $149.95 iirc and I got it shipped from Surdyke for $124 or so.

I went with an OGIO tailbag instead of using a backpack. I love this bag...not to big not to small. I can fit whatever I need in it for most of my rides. It's so nice having storage that I don't have to wear.

I also ride with eaither the OGIO tailbag and the ICON Squad Backpack. I just recently purchased the DAWCO Rally Pack for my upcoming trip. I use the backpack 90% of the time. It holds A LOT, even has a seperate compartment to store youre helmet when youre off your bike, and its very comfortable. I highly recommend this backpack.
The OGIO is great for day trips, this little bag holds a lot and its not bulky at all. The DAWCO Rally Pack, is huge! I cant wait to use it. My lady and I will be able to pack our things for the weekend in the tail bag and we'll be able to use the roll bag for misc. items.
If I only had to recommend one bag though, it would be the ICON bag. Its BEYOND worth the money. Its safe, stylish, comfortable, and practical.

I have saddlebags for a reason. No need for a backpack.

I voted "yes", but I only use it with very light weight in it, I get tired on long trips otherwise and it would affect my balance/stability.

I've used various ones from this site. There's about 10 pages to scroll through:

I do use a daypack for carrying stuff to work, and it gets strapped down to my cargo rack on the current bike, so it can not shift.

Only reason I use it is it looks funny walking into work with a set of modern day saddlebags over your shoulder, plus I can't fit my laptop into my saddlebags.

On longer trips, I use saddlebags or a touring trunk.... here's a pic from this past season.....(note it's on my Honda Big Ruckus and I didn't have it tied down yet with the bungee cords and net)

Did this guy really say riding with a backpack looks "super gay?"

I was at my local dealer this week, and saw a pretty cool backpack. It was the HD Hi-Viz one, and yes, I really hate the bright orange, but I have to say 1) that it might just hep keep the east bay cage cruisers at bay a bit more, and 2) the pack looks to be built like a tank.

Anyone use this bag? Its a bit pricy at $125, but I have to say once I got (kinda) over the day-glow orange, I liked it.

I just got this one, retro-reflective white instead of the orange, very heavy duty, great for just a backpack by itself. I love it.
