In regards to your 412"s................... what is that....... i was thinking of getting better front springs on mine because i think the stock ones are too weak.....
The 412 is the model for the rear shocks made by progressive.
The front fork kit is another seperate item. They have a choice of regular height progressive fronts which eliminate some diving and bottoming out and the other set lowers the front fork and does the same as previously listed.
I did the opposite of what most Sporty riders seem to do. I used the 14.5 Progressive shocks to RAISE my rear, and with the Progressive front springs and max preload, I raised the front forks an equal amount. I would rather have a Sportster that handles well on the crappy roads around here where I live, than spend my time riding 30 MPH trying to look cool on a slammed bike.

To each his own, I guess. No need to slam on us slammed bike owners.
I'd say my bike is pretty quick and can handle the twisties without any problem. Of course I've never been one to want to drag my knees in the curves...
I have the progressive shocks for the rear of my sportster and love the way it rides. When I have a passenger on the back we never bottom out the shocks. It was worth the money for them.
