Moma's bike is not near loud enough! I wanted to get her some new slip-ons for Xmas. What are you guys using? She is not concerned at this point with a whole stage 1 upgrade. Performance of the bike is fine for her at this point in her riding experience. She just wants something with a little more bark than the stock pipes. Any help will be much appreciated.
First, remove the baffles. That is free. If you don't want to do risk your OEM muffles, you can buy my de-baffled slip-ons off my 2007 on ebay. (item # 260064884250). Still REALLY cheap for great sound. Next cheapest, cycle-shack for about $160. These are popular with most who have them. Finally, Vance and Hines straighshots. I paid $235 (w/tax) for my V&H. These are very loud, have removeable baffles (don't unless you like your ears to hurt) and look great. Very deep sound.
All of the above options will get you a much loader, Harley sound. Let us know which one you go with!
Just bought a set of V&H Straightshot slip-ons brand new in the box for my '07 XL1200L - $200.00 delivered from a dealer on EBay. Got a FuelPak too, while I was at it. Price can't be beat and they are a regular up there. Americanclassics, I think.

Thanks for the input! I'll mull this over a bit. My wife likes the SE pipes on the ultra, they are pretty loud (almost too loud for me). I don't want her bike louder than mine! Thanks again.

If you don't want your wife's bike louder than yours, go with the debaffled route or Gronk's modification. Both will do the job, give her a better sounding bike (but not as nice as yours) and not cost a dime. If you are not sure, buy debaffled mufflers OR buy an extra set of take-offs, that way you can always "go back home."
