1200R or 883R. Go for function, not form, otherwise you may find you don't ride it often or far. The US no longer gets the 883R (1200R is out of production), but it is available in some overseas markets, including the UK. Don't tell anyone else, but we had the XR1200X here long before it was released in the US.

Any Harley you get is basically just a platform for modifications to make it your own. If you want distance capability, the 1200C has the 4.5 gallon tank. Suspension again is owners preference. A lot of sportie riders go with Progressive fork spring kits up front and either Progressives in the rear or an air ride conversion (just search the forums here and you'll get a very good idea). As you can see from the other posters on here, we've all modified our bikes to suit our preferences.

Buy what pleases you. Ride it for a while before making changes, you'll save money. With your weight and height it's wide open. A seat and suspension upgrades will help but your being under 175 lbs makes it better. My weight is 185 and even the nightster's suspension isn't that bad although I run a Mustang seat. I've done a stage 1 and I've got more power than I really need for sane riding. My son's 883 with a stage 1 is plenty fast also. Kurt

i have an iron and i love it ... im 5'11" and weight 235 .. stock suspension but adjusted to be stiffer and when i have my OL on the back we dont really bottom out to much .. honestly that suspension would be just fine for you you just have to adjust them. i wouldn't give my bike up for anything .. although that 1250 will be in as soon as i can pony up the dough

seriously man find what is visually pleasing to you and go from there .. it will all work out
