Default Oil Tank, Rear Fender & Battery Box

I finally got around to fabbing up some parts. I bent a couple of pieces of 1/4 steel bar stock to fit the contour of the seat tube so I can mount the oil tank. Still workin on the fender mounts & battery box and will post up pics ASAP on those too.

Default Kickstand bumper

Almost forgot the kickstand bumper post

I cut it off then was able to throw away the old rear clip. Had to shape it to fit the contour of the hardtail then it fit nicely!

Default Rear Brake Caliper Mod

At 1st glance you might say there's no way the stock brake caliper will work with the HIH weld on hard tail, but with a little imagination you can make it work nicely

Thanks! It's amazing how much better the bike feels when you sit on it as a hard tail. Going down the road will be a lot more bumpy, but it should handle better, so I'll try to dodge the pot holes

Thanks! I have been using oxy acetylene since I was a kid and it's cheap to use. Actually, I get much better results with it then I do with one of those cheap wire MIG welders and you can weld Alum with it if you're careful. Also, it's nice to have around when you need a very hot torch. However, if the day ever comes when I can afford a sweet TIG setup, then that will become my welder of choice
