I ordered a set of DK Custom Stealth Trap footpegs and got them right away. Got them put on today and gave them a trial run. They are definitely what was missing on my bike. This is my first Harley and I found it much more comfortable than the CBR I rode before, but the more I rode the more I did not like how my feet were positioned when riding. My friends told me I looked really uncomfortable riding and I constantly felt like my feet were going to be slipping off the pegs. After surfing the forums a bit I came across these and thought the price was right and they looked Bad@$$. I highly recommend them. They gave me some extra confidence I needed.
As for the appearances, I will let you see for yourself. My friends say they look too much like bike pedals, but they haven't tried them either!
Yeah I recently bought a set of the Canyon Crawlers and love em.
There's a reason they look like bike pedals, because at the base that's exactly what they are. But they serve the purpose well and My feet feel comfortable and secure on these bad boys.
In the description of these pegs it says the cannot be locked into place. How firm is the movement on the pegs?
I left mine so they can spin freely for the most part. So far, so good. You can also adjust the angle they sit from the bike, like parallel with the ground or slightly tilted. I never would have imagined this being important, but these are tilted slightly in toward the bike when they shipped and I didn't change that adjustment at all and really like how it feels. More miles will determine if that is it's final adjustment.
love my pedals, I have them free spinning. been on the bike over a year now with no probs,
just have to take care when cornering. scrapped them a couple of times but they do fold up and not bite.
I love my DK's! I've had the same bike pedal comment but they are so comfortable and I have mine snug but the weight of my foot can easily move them. It's a nice way to stretch the ankles on longer rides.
