I decided to run V&H Shortshots Staggered w/ Quiet Baffles, the V02 Naked Intake, Pulstar Pulse Plugs, and since I read glowing reviews on the Cobra PowrPro Autotuner on my 12' Iron. Sounds great, but, my gas mileage is horrible. I'm probably getting less than 50 miles out of 2 gallons of gas. It is running rich (black smoke out of exhaust, and black original plugs (why I switched to Pulstar). Now, I have two thoughts on this and wondering if any other Cobra PowrPro users are having the same issue. 1.) I'm riding less than 10 miles a day, does the PowrPro not adjust accordingly? 2.) Faulty unit. I e-mailed Cobra with no response as of yet. I am about to call Tuesday. If no luck, I'm thinking of switching to FuelMoto to run but wanted to see if anyone else is having issues first. Thanks for any and all help!
Yeah I have one on my bike and getting 5 miles less per gal on my bike. Got an Ultra and was getting about 40 to 42 mpg and now getting maybe 36. Email cobra yesterday and they have a number to call. Talked to them and they were asking a lot of questions to try and nail it down to what the cause could be. After the talk I went out and rechecked everything on the bike. Took it out for a good ride. The cobra does what it is suppose do but the mileage sucks. Still burning rich. Pull the plugs and it shows a rich burn. So the guy turned it over to the techs and are suppose to call me tomorrow to go thru some things. Like I told them I am happy with unit but getting less miles per gal don't cut it
I've been dealing w/them for a few months now. Waiting on my 3rd one to get here. I have the opposite problem. Mine's running lean, real hot, idles like crap, pops on decel., has died several times. I'm getting 34.9 mpg. I'm hoping this 3 one is the trick!!!! The CS has been top notch, though.
I had my cobra for couple months and I had problems with the gas milage and at low speed it doesn't idle good. I called cobra blah blah. I got a new unit same problem. Called them back and I was told I was gonna get a call from the tech and it never happen. I'm kind of disappointed with this product. I mean it works good but to a certain point. I don't know what's next? Maybe thundermax.

I have the ViEDs and it pops on decel if it's revved high but I get better gas mileage now. It's also just now over 4k miles. I used to get 39m/gal. It was not instant but pretty damn quick after the high flow ac + ViEDs (pipes installed first day I bought her) that I was getting 42.

Mine NEVER popped on decel w/Vied's. It's the least of my concerns.
OK, here's what happened guys. I e-mailed Cobra, no response in a week. That's a little shitty. So yesterday I decided to call. I talked to a CSR and he said, "Just go out, ride it hard, but not to redline, between each of the gears". I was a little astonished, the unit has been on the bike for two months, I only have like 190 miles on the bike total, and this thing has not figured out how to lean out the fuel? So he was a little hesitant, but finally put in information for a tech to call me today. Today, I did get a call from the Tech in Las Vegas. What an awesome person finally to talk to. He said that they are having issues with the Autotuner if they are in "cruise mode". He said the original ones run great if you are basically a burn out freak or you ride it hard on the highway. So they are sending me PowrPro Autotuner V-2, it's supposedly a new Autotuner that is coming out in the next few months, and it has a lean/rich adjuster on the back that is adjustable for cruising. So it's supposed to be sent tomorrow. He also said something that I'm understanding that the new system runs the O2 sensors in a closed loop, so it is not taken into consideration for Injector pulse. I will update when it's installed.
I can't remember. Did he say, "Here's what we are going to do, OK?" or ended everything with "OK", then it was him. The guy knew his stuff, that was for sure. He did tell me the current ones don't start adjusting until 150 revolutions of the engine. I hope this does fix it, or I think I'm going with Dynojet. I just want the gas mileage to be better, can't ask for a better sound or run like it does now. I'm guessing they are having a lot of issues with people who just Cruise. It sounds like this thing should have been a Race Tuner.
