Default Gaskets?
Hi guys,

I don't quite understand what gaskets to buy to take the pipes of my Nightster.

GENUINE HARLEY DAVIDSON JAMES GASKET
FITS ALL MODELS 1984 TO PRESENT
Could this be correct, that all gaskets made since 1984 fit all models?

Any help appriciated!

It would help if you supplied the p/n of the item in question, but if you're referring to the exhaust port gasket, it's been the same since 1983.

Maybe we should start using these as AV's.... lol

Has Carnac the Magnificent figured out why you need gaskets to remove a set of pipes?

If it's the exhaust packings you need, buy the Harley SE Gaskets 17048-98, they work great and don't block the exhaust port.
