new nightster owner needs help

hey everyone finally got one 2009 nightser with 2275 miles for seven grand,question is the rear suspension,i know it is a one person bike but the wife does like to ride ocassionally i hear people say get progressive shocks but what model? i weight 240 she weighs 140 oh and by the way this thing REEEEEEALY PULLS us BOTH WITH NO PROBLEM i just want to avoid bottom out, the bike has vance and hines short shots and has been remapped?????? my buddy has a full dresser and he rode mine for a while and he said that the son of ***** is fast and constantly pulls (i guess he means power)so yea im happy just need help on shock situation.

I have a 2009 and love it. With the stage 1, its a real nice bike but I can guarantee that you will bottom out the rear suspension.

I have progressive 412 heavy duty and love them on my nightster go with 11.5" ride is way better one or two up.

I would contact Progressive directly. they will answer your emails quickly. tell them your weight and riding style and they will tell you the tallest shock you can use.

thanks guys

i did call progressive and the gentleman told me that either 11.5 or the 12s would work 12 would just give me a little more travel just trying to visualize if it would look stuppid jacked up in rear the bike has an awsome stance now. would hate to lose that look
