under the throttle what is it really used for

you can turn it to tighter to lock the throttle for cruise control so you don't have to hold the throttle open while cruising. I have never tried it out though.

i just googled it found out what it was i took the bike out its pretty cool i wish i new about it for my trip to sturgis would have made it more comfortable. i am googling some mods for this like a lever it will make it easier to use there are a lot

I don't use it but it was designed so that you could roll it with your thumb. Easy as counting money, not sure I'd want to try to reinvent the wheel on this one (ha ha) but whatever works for you.

It activates the warp drive on Dyna's. On Sporty's it's the ejector seat button.

That's easy in my case. I just need to be able to count to one and a half. (remember I bought a Harley so, no money left)
