I went down!
So here's the story. I was riding out of town near a place called Tortilla Flat, caught some gravel and down I went.
Funny thing I never realized I was down till I heard my helmet scraping the ground and my bike on it's side. Once I finally stopped I picked myself up looked myself over felt my hand killing me, grabbed it with my other hand and I could feel my thumb floating in my hand, went over to my bike managed to pick it up, straightened my bars back up then went back to my hand and tried to reset my thumb, or course that didn't work so I went back to my bike and rode the 30 miles back home in ridiculous pain which took an hour on really curvy roads and what felt like 10000000 bumps, got to my house changed clothes, activated my old phone to call my wife and headed to the ER in my car.
Here's the damage to my gear, bike and me. The solo bag saved me a ton of cash and the helmet, jacket and gloves saved me from leaving a lot of skin at the scene.

Thanks for posting. How fast were you going when it happened?
I have the same helmet and similar jacket, so it's good to know that it worked! lol

Really, glad you are ok. Your gear (helmet, jacket, gloves) looks invaluable.
I'd keep that saddlebag.
