A\C Filter Oil - Is This Normal
Need some input if I can get it..... Put a DK 587 Hi-Flow A\C on my scoot a few months back and After about a month I noticed the filter oil had looked like it had dried up or maybe had been washed off by a heavy rain. No biggie, pulled the filter, washed it and re-oiled it. 4 days later after some riding, and a lot of sitting in the sun (no rain at all) the filter is looking white again on the upper half that gets more direct sunlight. Is this normal??? Am I maybe not putting enough oil on the filter? Thanks in advance for comments or suggestions.

Color has nothing to do with when it needs to be cleaned and oiled. K&N even has an FAQ that says something like every 50K miles. If its exposed and you ride through rain storms some may get washed away and may need done more often.
