I am going to convert my sporty to a fat front tire using the Vulcan Engineering conversion kit. When I do that I want to convert both front and rear wheels over to black powder coated laced wheels from the current stock non-laced wheels.
Can anyone point me to a reputable source for wheels?
well I can give you the part # for a stock 48 16" black front wheel. 41388-10 $447 and the bearings # 9276A $22 each. I had another rider run into my front end and tweaked my rim a few weeks ago. I might be selling my wheel minus the rotor and tire after I get the insurance money to get it replaced. It's in great shape just bent(wobbles). Could be straightend. Not sure how much I will sell it yet.
I can probably set you up with something like that. Thanks for the shout out Kevin.
I am not near my bike right now so I don't know exactly what I need for wheel size. I'll give you a call for pricing as soon as I know what the stock wheel size is. I just want to run the same sized wheel in front that I have in the rear.

Take a look at the Softail Blackline's rear black anodized aluminum smooth profile rim (55044-11), that's what I'm using for my fat front tire conversion. It's a 16x3, same as your rear rim. It is a 40 spoke like all H-D rims except the Forty-Eight's front (32). I used an HDW billet front hub, but an '06-'13 Super Glide/Street Bob should also work.
