Default Shock Mount or Axle Mount?

I am ordering a new vertical side mount license plate mount for my Bike this weekend with a model a brake light. I am just curious from others experiences which place to mount it....lower shock or On the axle??? Since it has a bigger brake light mounted to the top of the plate i would imagine mounting it lower would be ideal and would keep it from getting in the way of anything else But im not sure thats why I am asking. Thank you for Your opinions.

Don't think I would use either, seeing how they are both critical connection points, but, whatever, Do what you want, your going to anyway.

well if I was to relocate my plate where would be a good place besides the rear fender? I guess I could just zip tie it somewhere lol

belt guard bolt, clamp to frame. get creative bro, you'll figure something out. alot of guys probably do use the shock bolt, but i personaly would try to figure something else out.

Either will be fine. It comes down to aesthetics.

The shock bolt will raise the plate/light up and increase your visibility slightly.

The axle bolt will keep the plate tucked in closer to the bike and will look cleaner.

Don't let Kenny blow that smoke up your ***. I've got 10k worry free miles with my license plate mounted to my axle.

I ended up ordering a shock mount bracket. Was going to go with axle to keep it lower and closer to the bike, but then decided to get lowering blocks as well, so i figured the axle mount plate wouldnt work well with a lowering block hitting it.
