Default Xl1200l

Recently bought my wife a 2009 1200 Low. Curious what changes are made to the bike from a stock height XL1200, besides the seat.
Thanks
Ken

Thanks for the replies, do you know if the forks are actually different or have a lowering "kit" of some sort.

Front tire is different from the C (fatter)the forks look the same to me but i could be wrong.
I used the full 3" spacer on mine when replacing the fork springs with Progressives,
The low has a differrnt set of risers and speedo mount, mid controls, and MHO the
stock seat is almost useless. I have had mine sinse new with no problems.
09 1200L.

The front fork tubes, fork springs and damper tubes are different in the factory C vs L models. The lower legs are the same.
The C has a 21" front wheel and the L has a 19". The tires have different sidewall ratios resulting in two assemblies with darn near identical diameters overall. The front fenders are the same.

As Scuba said, the sliders are the same, but chrome tubes shorter. Simplest way to check is looking at the microfiche at Ronnies HD website, to compare part numbers. I suspect the damper rods inside may also be shorter.
