My bike has been taken apart for some time (performance upgrades). Now some dude totaled my car and suddenly I need my Sporty for commute. So I put it back together and ... the freakin' factory alarm goes on. The fob is present, the fob battery is good.
Has anybody some experience dealing with an issue like this? I can start the bike by overriding the security but that's a pita.
I was mistaken, it really wasn't working as expected. In fact, it disarmed only when both fobs were present! I tried with one and another single fob, all fresh batteries and it was a no go.
Here's what I did to fix it. First I dressed in a black robe, lighted up some candles, sacrificed a black chicken and turned the run switch OFF (it has been in ON position for years), did a manual security override while both fobs were present. Something in that sequence fixed it. I think maybe it was the chicken, what do you think?

Thanks for welcome, but I'm not back. I will come here only when I have a question to ask.
