Exhaust wrapping
Some claim that the added heat contained in the pipe causes them to become brittle, others say that the wrap soaks up water and speeds up corrosion.
I personally have no experience with it, so don't quote me.

Not trying to scare you off though man, there's tons of guys out there with wrap with no issues. I'm sure there's tons of cracked pipes out there as well that weren't wrapped.
Pro's:
Looks cool to some
Keeps the exterior temps down, less of a chance to burn your leg
Con's:
Possible chance of cracked pipes
Looks like $hit to some
In regards to the moisture, they do sell a silicone spray that you coat the pipes in after you wrap them. It keeps the water out, and also keeps the wrap from fraying over time.
Whatever you do, DON'T wrap over your exhaust shields. Looks stupid and will for sure trap moisture and cause your pipes to rust super fast.

I know Bassani for sure voids their warranty if you wrap them, and they're constructed of 16gauge steel where most others use thinner 18gauge.
I've seen tons of thunderheaders wrapped, so I don't know what the deal is.... Could be just hit or miss, how well the bike is tuned, if the head studs were torqued to spec, etc...
I just know there seems to be more cracked pipes out there wrapped, then not.
But here's one of my Bassani pipes that cracked and wasn't wrapped, only about 500km's on them too:
