Default Road King Shock Lowering

Question for everyone. I've been searching throughout the day today and have a quick question. I am putting Road King shocks on my 2010 Iron. I know stock's are 11", the RK's I'm putting on are 13". I want to put a 3" lowering Block on, so that will bring it to about 10". My question is... do you think I'll have to do a belt adjustment, or should I be ok because it will only be about an inch lower than stock. Thanks guys.

that is what I am running right now and i really don't like it. the rk shocks are really comfy at a normal angle but when you start pushing them back it gets shitty

you can however....

Did you have to adjust your belt tension after? Any comparisons to stock?

I didn't have to adjust my tension,

as far as comparison... my stocks where TERRIBLE when i had these mounted in the stock position I loved the feel just hated the look. not that it looks better (i would like lower) i don't like the feel as much.. i also noticed i had to pump more air in because I was slamming the shocks on bumps.

personally, i am looking into new shocks. but pretty much just for look, I really want to be shorter in the back

Ok. I am hoping to lower the bike about an inch, didn't wanna go with Lick's or Burly's 10" because so many reviews said they ride like struts. So I was hoping with these and a 3 inch lowering block i can lower it overall about an inch and still be more comfy than 10"

I went the bitchinbaggers route. It's costly but you don't have the odd angle that the brackets create.

FYI, I have some brackets for sale if you're interested. They are single 1/4" black powdercoated steel that are properly BENT not multiple parts welded together. I took them off cause I didn't like the look with the stock shocks. Never rode on them and ended up with free air shocks.

I had 2.25" taken off which results in a 10.5" shock.
