Default nightster problem
i have a 2010 nightster and keep getting side stand down error,i have changed the sensor and the spring,i still get error,i have checked the diag settings and it says no errors but when i turn on bike it stalls straight away and i get error message?? i can run bike with side stand up but cant sit on it all day lol,i have a new battery on it,not sure if that makes a difference! i can ride bike too just seems to be when i put the stand down it goes **** up,any help would be much appreciated,wiring is 3 wires so cant cut the sodding thing off either

Someone else just had this problem last week with a Nightster.Moisture in the switch turned out to be the problem and WD-40 was the cure.

switch as in the sensor? i take it i need to squirt wd40 in the connector where the plugs join? thanks

Just jump the wires never worry about it again.

can only jump the wires if two wires but there are 3,ones goes to ecu
