Okay I need some serious help here. I replaced my stock pipes today on my 2012 nightster with basanni radial sweepers. It wasn't easy, but with a little help I got the job done. During the install I had to remove the right peg and brake pedal to be able to take off the factory exhaust braket (the big black bracket). I did not detach the brake rod though. After install I went to back my bike out of the garage and noticed my rear brakes were locked. I have tried everything short of bleeding the brake to resolve this issue at least I think. I have had no luck. I am new in the Harley game and I would really appreciate any help given. I have checked tension on the brake rod it seems good i don't know what else I can do besides bleed the brakes. Please help!
There should be play allowing master cylinder to return back to top of travel. You have something out of line. Remove the push rod and see if brake frees. Then be sure when going back together rod is not pushing on master cylinder. Bleeding will free it but soon as you tighten it and pump one time it will lock again as it is now. It could be that one of your pivot points is too tight but pulling back on brake pedal should loosen brake but if that is problem it will lock when you push it back down. Be careful here since if it locks up at speed from improper assembly since at speed it would re-lock as you slowed and you could not back off and it would suddenly lockup tire as speed dropped off or get half stuck again and overheat caliper and boil brake fluid and lock up wheel and wreck you.

Well update on this. The brakes are only grabbing in one spot now. when i roll the bike you can tell where it grabs because it will squeak. any suggestions on this?

no pulling, just seems like there isnt enough pressure when i apply the brakes
Not enough pressure, or is the back wheel locked up? Sorry - you've stated two different things, and I want to be certain that any advice I offer is pertinent.
On a '12 - the bike's new enough that it shouldn't have contaminated fluid that would've gummed up the master cylinder or blocked the feed/return holes.
if the issue is that the brakes are on when you're not pushing the pedal, you've done something goofy on re-assembly. If the problem is that you don't get enough pressure to the rear wheel to apply positive breaking action, then it's a possibility that you twisted the brake pedal on the threaded linkage enough to take it out of adjustment.
Sorry i am new to working on bikes. heres the deal.. when i put the bike in neutral and roll it on the garage floor you hear a squeak in one place on the rear tire. obviously you can tell the brake is hanging up on it. when i apply the brake it seems there isn't enough pressure its real loose. it also seems that the break pedal itself is sitting lower than it was before i took the peg off.
