high idle

i haVE 1995 sportster 883 my first bike when i ride after a few minutes it seems to idle very high is their any way to adjust it ? thanks for any help

no it is not but it is bent so i don`t go all the way in it sticks out about 1/4 inch

Then replace it, if you can't straighten it. The way to slow your engine down is to set it up right.

I once followed a low sports car that was making a lot of black smoke. When we stopped in traffic I could see the woman driver had hung her handbag on the choke! That is what you are doing.
