hd forward control install Q

OK so Im going to install my forward controls but Im wondering when I remove the bolts from my primary cover will it start to poor out fluid or will it not leak? I just need to know if Im going to need to change the darn primary too because of fluid loss.

What year bike are we talking?I just put forward controls on my 2009 Nightster and did not have to remove any bolts from the primary cover.

its a 1992 and the bolts that hold the pegs in place have to be removed. Im not removing the primary cover though

you dont have to remove any primary bolts... dont get what your referring to?

the bolts that are in the primary cover that hold the bracket that hold the foot pegs on. You take those out and put in shorter bolts that are supplied then use the foot pegs later in the installation.
