I believe Mustang offers one. You can check their website and make sure it's available for your year. I rode my grandpa's Electra Glide Ultra Classic that had one, and man was it nice.

They look ugly on a Sportster, which means they've got to be comfy. Fortunately, I'm still a young buck that doesn't have to worry about that.

Just put a Protac backrest on my '86 sportster. It mounts easily to your shock mounts, over whatever seat you have now and is quick detachable. $145 with shipping

I have one for my Mustang Wide Vintage Solo but don't use it. I have bad lower back discs and when I ride with the backrest over sharp bumps, it feels like I am getting hit in back with a hammer. Others experience may vary.

I have one for my Mustang Wide Vintage Solo Seat and use it all the time. It took a while (couple hours) to get it properly adjusted (height and angle) to my back but now I would be very hesitant to ride very far without it.

I have a backrest for my Corbin gunfighter. The seats are expensive but worth it.

I have one on a Corbin Gunfighter. It makes long rides a lot more comfortable for me. (I don't like the way the seat looks on my bike though).
