Tank mounted using suction mount

Sissy bar using RAM mount

Passenger peg mounted using rollbar mount

Harley vibrates a lot resulting to a "jello effect" in video footage. I think the most stable is to mount somewhere on your body where it absorbs the vibration.

If you upload to YouTube it will stabilize the video for you and take some of the wobble out of it.

I use VLC media player. You can stop a video and pull a frame out of it and turn it into a snapshot.

Let us know how things go with the GoPro, I'm wanting to get one of those and customer reviews are a big deciding factor for me. Right now I mount a Kodak EasyShare to my handlebars.

I went with a LIC Ego camera. It's 1/3 the price as a GoPro with better quality video/audio and the same features. The YouTube stabilization just zooms the video and actually degrades the quality. There are several anti-vibration mounts out there. Look for the rubber mounts for remote controlled helicopters. With a little creative engineering, they can be adapted to work with a handlebar mount. I'm working on mine now and I should have it done sometime this week. I mostly use the chest and leg mount, the helmet mount is tough to watch especially if the rider keeps checking mirrors and watching his surroundings.

I never use the suction cup mount, it is super shaky and cheap but the helmet mounts are amazing

I need to break down and buy more mounts for this GoPro, and a new lens of course. I really want to get a video of this beauty rolling down the road lol

If it's not gonna rain get an adapter to use an external mic

to reduce wobble you just need to be creative in how you isolate vibration. Also I'd tether the camera to a 2ndary point.... I had a HERO 2 and loved it and am planning on a Hero 3 black

BTW from experience dont mount it on top of the helmet, its a **** angle and the wind will push your helmet back making it uncomfortable

Default A Sweet-Looking Camera Mount

You also might want to check out the DeluxeCAM. Several connection options, what I like most is the slim, nice-looking stainless steel rod. And there's an anti-vibration feature at the base. http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/CTGY/cameras.html

Damn, I'm at work right now, but I did get my helmet mount setup and ready to try out. Hopefully I can burn out early and get some riding in today.
