So, going to order my new pipes today. Been trying to decide between the big radius ( love the looks of these ) and the Patriot defender (can't beat the price for what you get). Ultimately I am leaning toward the defender just based on price and value for what ya get. nothing wrong with the big radius but have a hard time justifying 530.00 (discounted) when the defender is just as well at $345.00 list price it would seem.
So my question is for you guys running the defenders, have you had any regrets going with the defender? Is there anything you would have prefered now that you have run it a while? From what i have read the SFI valve dictates the sound/power quality, is it pretty easy to re-tune your fuel system with just about any fuel pack brand?
I am trying to get used to the look of the 2:1 pipes on the bikes i see them on. But for the price difference I think i can adjust pretty easily.
The only other set of pipes I would ever put on my iron would be the defender or v&h comp series. I have read a few threads about the defender on here and havent heard a single bad thing yet.
Thanks all. Placed the order last night for the patriot and now just waiting.... Looking forward to it being as I am still running stock exhaust. Everything I had read on the defender was all positive and can't beat the price.
Planning to keep the butterfly between 3/4 and fully open, depending on whether or not the ole bitty next door whines and files a complaint or not.

you need to make a thumb control to open and close the baffle. then when you roll in late just close it as you park to keep granny happy.

That's actually not a bad idea. Although, I will add it later, after I get a week or two annoying her. She has it coming. Don't think i have ever seen a lil old lady complain about soo much about so many stupid things.
