Yesterday while riding my 2006 883XL speed, odometer stopped working and the engine light stayed on. How to fix it?

I can't find the link I used to use but I believe this one is the same.

 

I am having the same problem on my 2007 1200. The service department told me that the magnets are not conecting properly. I am not sure yours is the same problem but no codes showed up its from experience that they know. Good luck my bike goes in repair shop tomorrow night.

Checked engine code and VSS had an issue. Cleaned sensor and I think the problem is solved.
