Default fender bag?

Are there any good bag options that I can strap straight to my nightster fender? I don't want to add a luggage rack or sissy bar and I really just need something for overnight trips so don't need anything large

Just keep in mind anything you strap across it will wear the paint/finish.

That's a good idea. Didn't think of a magnetic tank bag. Have you had any problems with it scuffing paint?

Many above have valid points.
Define your overnight supplies.
Front bags are very small and won't hold a change of jeans.

Attached to front fender...no. Attached under front headlight..yes.

Look at Licks Website..do a search, as they show what a front tool bag and side bag look like.

Maybe your best bet is a messenger shoulder bag or back pack..if not the swing arm mounted side solo bag.

i had been warned about scuffing paint on the gas tank, so i plastidipped both the tank and the rear fender prior to x-country trip. Peels off when you are done.

I have multiple sizes, the Nelson Rigg bag is pretty big and expands another couple of inches. I think is looks better on the read fender than on the tank.

Not to mention it has a map pocket if you do keep it on the tank.

I also have the sissy bar bag (some tourer thing). There's even a rollbag that clips onto the sissybar bag. Also, all bags come with a rain cover

Here are my bags:

And the roll bag:

To be honest I don't think you'll have issues with scuffing as long as you're careful. The magnets are strong enough that the bag won't wiggle around. I think its long term stuff like tank bras and so on where dust gets between the cover and the paint.

Hi take a look at this one. Really nice quality stuff! Not the cheapest one out there but well worth it! A lot of sportster riders where I live use this bag in particular.
You have two options;
1) mount it with a quick lock fitting, then you can take it with you when you leave your bike or for those times when you just don't want it on. This requires relocating/removing the rear blinker.
2) mount it with "standard" fittings (a nightstar set) which means that you have to apply a bit more "work" to get it off. This option is the best one I think.

All measurements are in cm but just divide it by 2,54 and you'll get it in inches.
