My next mod on my 72 is the wheels.Am having powdercoated stainless spokes fitted and the rims powdercoated, but cant make my mind up on the colour combination,my choices are black spokes brass nipples and black rims, or black spokes, brass nipples and red rims, not a bright red was thinking of almost burgundy to tone in with the original "72" red any thoughts appreciated.
Either one is going to look great on your 72... very difficult to pick one, I can understand why you posted the question...
If they can match the red to the bike... wheels would have the same color combination as the tank. If not a match, it will look weird to have a different color in the mix.
Take a look in the Tech Powdercoat forum where there often examples of wheels and stuff, that might give you some ideas. JRK5892 over there posts lots of pics in his 'cool stuff' thread to admire!
I say black spokes and rims with brass nipples. I have black spoke covers on my 48 with black rims and I like that look. I want to brass powder coat my nipples next.
