I've seen some on ebay for about $50 give or take. Some of them look like they mount to the riser clamps for the handlebars. My problem is I have 12" T bars with no clamps. How do I find fairings that will attach without using those clamps?
I'm not really sure what you are asking but I'm gonna give it a shot, if I'm wrong shoot me
Below is a pic of a memphis shades fairing that mounts on the forks not the bars. I have 10" wild 1's on here. I am not going to be using this fairing simple because I hate how the stock 5" headlight sits so far back. I think it looks stupid, so I took it off. I now have a 17 memphis windshield and a 7" drag specialties head light.
Yeah, the Sportster headlight position and small size makes it hard to fit a lot of those cheap fairings. They usually have a 7" hole and you can't get them rearward enough before they hit your bars or something else.
hank, on some of the cheap one's on ebay, the pictures looked like there was a bracket that attached to the handlebar clamp and the fairing to keep it mounted. I didnt know if this was the only way these mount, cause if so I couldnt use it. But you say that yours mounts to the forks, so i guess I need to find one I like that does that.

true, but you can move headlight - say with DK Customs headlight bracket
izhd... I didnt know you could move it forward like that... looks really good on your bike. What size bars do you have?
Thanks.. I have 8" risers and HD drag bars.
Want to get 2" extensions for risers.
I used DK Customs headlight relocation bracket
It allows to move headlight up, down, forward or backwards. a lots of options
When we designed the Modular Headlight Relo Kit, we wanted to make something that had infinite adjust-ability. Thru a lot of trial and error we came up with what we think is a cost effective way to relocate the stock headlight And most aftermarket lights.
What we did not anticipate is how many different ways people would use them. We have received some amazing pics of very different mounting positions of the headlight. We also did not have fairing in mind when we designed it...but as many have shown us, like izhd above, it works well with getting the headlight in the correct position for fairings also.
